BBC, France24... each continent has its own news channel. Only Africa
waited eagerly this big event. After near nine months of hard work
their African sister is born to life !

This brand new news channel, an answer to a true longing, has been
welcomed with many enthousiasm and emotion at George V Hotel, in Paris.
Many VIP, among which Patrick
Poivre d’Arvor, Cheick Modibo Diarra, Karim Wade, Isabelle Adjani, Manu
Dibango, Vincent Perez, Kad Merad have honored this kick-off.

Beyond the prestige of the place, what was wonderful this evening, was the excitement shared with whom, Nemali Constant, President of the channel transmitted his joy to win this bet. This former Cameroonian journalist, also cofounder of the Pan African channel 3A Telesud, supplied all his energy to the new great team of AFRICA24.
Already, the studios in Saint-Cloud count about 45 staff members (journalists, technicians, salers persons) from 18 countries and the channel has many correspondents in twenty African states. Our former client and friend, then roommate of AG Partners Dakar, Yacine Barro, took the post of Director delegated.
As its name suggests, AFRICA24 broadcasts 24/24, 7/7, in french to Africa since February 2009. The medium-term objective is an international circulation, for the whole of the African diaspora but also all those interested in international news and in particular African ones.
AFRICA24 envisions a broadcast in English by the end of 2010 and in Arabic by 2011.
AFRICA24's main objective is to popularize the viewpoint of Africa on the world so that it will no longer be the international channels like CNN, BBC or France 24, which, in Africa, too often present the continent in a restrictive or caricature way.

Equatorial Guinea, whose impetus was important is the main financial partner of AFRICA24, alongside a dozen other countries.
Africa 24 valued at 50 million euros will be funded by advertising. Mr
Nemali's goal is "profitability in three years, or at least a balance."
Side programs, the channel broadcasts news every half hour, a
chronicle of African raw materials Exchanges, interviews, sports and
societymagazines. It is available in clear 7 days 7 to subscribers "Canal Satellite" bouquet.
